Join us in The Villages Banquet Hall on Thursday, November 14 at 10 a.m. to listen to guest speaker and 2022 Washington State Teacher of the Year, Jerad Koepp (Wukchumni) as he shares his knowledge about the cultural significance of oaks and acorns to Native Peoples from California to Washington.
Jerad will also discuss future goals of engaging local elementary students with place-based traditional ecological learning in partnership with the Ovation at Oak Tree community.
