Squirrels

On my walk this morning I enjoyed watching 3 young squirrels playing in the old stump. 

Two were in and out of this hole in the tree.

Birdwatching Sit Spot

In his book "What the Robin Knows" author Jon Young recommends finding a special place to sit quietly and watch birds.

I made short benches to use for sitting in our Preserve. 

Since it is the rainy season the benches are propped up against a Madrone tree.

The purple arrow indicates where the sit spot benches are located.

I have loved seeing deer on many walks into the Preserve.
